Wednesday, July 6th

Today was the day away, and the youth and leaders all headed down to the beach at Grand Bend to relax and enjoy the day.  The day started miserable, dreary and rainy, which was fore cast to continue until noon.  We were on the road for only 10 minutes when the sun peaked through the clouds and by the time we arrived at Grand Bend we had gorgeous blue skies with barely a cloud in it.  Praise God!  They had ample opportunity to enjoy the beach and walk down the strip and do some shopping or browsing.

Because "The Upside of Maybe" was the opening act at the Steve Green Concert in London to raise funds for Streetlight Ministries they couldn't be there so the Vanastra CCRC praise team stepped in to help.

The youth came up front so they could do all the actions to Days of Elijah.

At the start of the week Mark had placed a box by the mailboxes where all youth could ask any questions they might have.  Today Mark and Siemen took the opportunity to answer some of the tough questions these teens had. They had one youth read them and then they would provide their thoughts on the question, and the youth received some informative and insightful answers.

The youth also had their talent show after their small group devotions.  The Dawg's started off with a performance of "Thriller", they had been having fun teaching their leader this at various work sites.

Up next was a wonderful performance of "Cry"

These guys did an amazing job of  the Veggie Tales "Lip Song"

Up next we had another wonderful performance of "Colours of the Wind"

Then we had another magnificent performance, of "Colours of the Wind" played on the guitar.

Which was followed by a breathtaking performance of "If I ain't got you"

Lastly this quartet of ladies performed an amazing rendition of Casting Crown's "Blessed Redeemer"
